So, new year, new Phusia choreography which means, new certification video. A song that's a little more up to date, but choreography that can still showcase the fact that you know your stuff and can teach it.
This is a jazz number, of course, given the fact jazz is my background and my comfort zone. I just can't help myself. We used to dance to "keeps gettin' better" but that seems a bit dated. The ladies in my class loved the challenge of the steps and it should be a great certification video as it will show me your ability to teach jazz dance steps.

I happen to really love this song. It puts me in a good mood. The other morning, while walking with the kids out to the car, it was playing on the radio and I reached to turn it up. My 15 year old son said, "Mom, I want to listen to Prince". I said, "but I like this song!". He said "In 40 years, is anyone going to remember this song?" Well, maybe not, but TODAY, I happen to like it a lot! (by the way, we listened to Prince but I couldn't handle the WHOLE version of Purple Rain).
